Meeting called to Order at the Sheraton Uptown at 5:57pm by sue Smuda

 

Treasurers update given by Sue for Teri who was unable to attend:

            Waiting to here from National Office concerning filing taxes and a 990 form for 2006.

            Current checkbook balance is 10,084.42. This includes the grant funds of $2,400.00 for the new TNCC roll out.

            No update on the CEN class … waiting for the brochures to come in.

           

Sue received a CD for the National Office that was recorded during the 2007 Leadership Confrence of all of the National Officer Candidates during a question and answer forum. The local chapter watched the CD, and discussed each of the candidates briefly. Elcetion is just around the coner, and all are encouraged to vote for the National Officer of their own choice!

 

Strategic Plan Update:

            Encourage Department Managers to become more active and involved in the local ENA

            Suggestion made: Possibly we do something during the Hospital Associations Meeting in September to encourage the managers!

 

National Emergency Nurses Week is the week of October the 6^th. Perhaps /NMENA could do something then with Nancy B.               our national Rep.. Suggestions included having a luncheon for the ER managers then have an open forum or meeting that evening and have a special invitation sent to all ER nurses.

~ Motion made by Adriann Mischel that we attempt to collaborate with Nanacy B for the week of October 6^th and see what she is available to do with us.
