A few of the bills discussed tonight included: Athletic Trainers as Healthcare Professionals, Various tax bills, Good Samaritan Laws as related to Heath Care Professionals, Appropriate use of AED’s, Health Insurance related issues, HIV Testing, PA-C supervision, Health Plan Coverage for small businesses, Medicaid Funding, Trauma and Hospital funding, Certification for nurse techs, and the Dept Of Health.

38 paid participants, 1 paid no show.
Net Loss of $3,796 to the Chapter.
Evaluations of the course were very positive about the content and the presenter

            Taxes
Chapter Gross income just under $31,000
If income over $25,000 we are required to file taxes
Schedule A addendum alone is over 9 pages! There are 990 instructions within 57 pages in a corp. tax!
Teri spoke to Marlene at National, and the general thought is that we do not have to file taxes if we have not earned over the $25,000 for three years running, which we have not. (Last years CEN review took us over.)
May 15th is the Corp. Tax deadline to file
~ Motion By Cathi Legg that if the chapter needs to file income taxes that Teri be directed to use a reputable business accountant that is knowledgeable in small not for profit organizations.
