The meeting was called to order at 6:10pm by Sue Smuda
Strategic Planning was resubmitted for planning by Sue. Topics of discussion listed below with highlights of the discussions.
CEN Seminar Update by Teri:
The brochures are completed and in the process of being printed
There is no specific guarantee noted in the brochures as there was in the last seminar. (Discussion followed debating if a guarantee should be offered. A suggestion was made to see if there could be a special testing day offered the day after the seminar. Teri offered to investigate this option, however it was duely noted that this is a very labor intensive process that would also involve H&R Block who is the proctor for the Albuquerque area.)
~Motion by Cathi Legg that there is no guarantee offered for this seminar.
~Second by Lisa Everson
*Motion passed unanimously
There was further discussion concerning the possibility of having sponsors at the seminar. Adriann said she spoke to several Rep.’s without success. Members will continue to approach different product rep.’s.
TNCC / ENPC classes outside of the Albuquerque area:
The Trauma Program is in the process of providing these classes outside of the Albuquerque area. When the class dates are firm they are suppose to send the updated information to either Dianne Cassel or Teri Hughes.
There is a possibility of an instructors class being offered in the future. It is not confirmed yet, but a possibility.
Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.’s):
Considerable discussion was held concerning the need to write the SOP’s, where to gather the information from, and how detailed they needed to be. Discussion also included what specifics need to be included in the individual SOP.
~ Motion by Sue Smuda that we divide the topics among the members that are present. Each person will be responsible for researching their own topic through other state chapters, and our own bylaws. Presentations will be made at the next meeting.
